FAQ(8): Can I avoid lines?

Baby can be in your arms or in his stroller, it’s quite difficult to make him wait when you are in a huge line. So, what can you do?

In Paris and in France in general, you can easily avoid lines with children under 3  and/or with strollers. In supermarkets, you might have a special line, if not ask the cashier. The cashier will allow you to come before the others clients. Don’t be afraid to act the same at the bank, the post office or at the airport

FAQ(7): How can I visit the Eiffel Tower with toddlers?

FAQ(5): what car seat type should I rent?

siege French rules of the road makes mandatory carrying security seat belt for driver and all car passengers in front and rear seats.

As children cannot directly use security seat belts, children between 0 and 10 year-old need to travel in a weight, age and body-type specific car seats.

Quickly…car-seats groups are:
Group 0 + : from birth till 13 kg (about 1 year-old) – to be used in back-to-the-road position
Group 1 : from 9 to 18 kg (to about 3 to 4 year-old) – facing the road
Group 2 : from 15 to 25 kg
Group 3 : 22 to 36 kg

Graco Junior Mini car seat- gr. 0+/1
or Chicco Proxima car seat – gr. 0+/1
Logico L car seat – gr. 2/3

  • The frequent asked question is: “my child could use in several car seats types, which one should I rent?”

Our answer: it depends from both age and body-type of the child…
For example : for a tall and thin (less than 13 kg) 18-month old baby, we’d recommand use of a gr. 1 car seat. Baby will be comfortably and safely installed.
For a small 3 1/2 year old child, we’ll advice to rent as well a group 1 car seat.

graco_siege_23 For a tall 3 1/2 year old child (and weighting more than 15 kgs), we’ll rather recommand a group 2 car seat.
However, keep this in mind: in a gr. 2 car seat, the child is maintain by the car seat belt ; car seat back and head are also used to maintain the seat belt, wich remains easier to unlock than in a 5-point gr. 1 car seat harness.

In any case, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Most important: always read and follow carefully provided instructions for use.

Read information flyer about car seats (edited by French Road Safety organisation) - in French only.
