Week-end with baby: travel light!
Today, I’m pleased to invite Sandrine, writer of the blog Voyages et enfants. (Travels and children – blog in French).
In her article, Week-end avec bébé de moins de 6 mois: voyager léger ! (week-end with an infant : travel light), she is listing the main accessories you’ll need to bring with you.
To sleep: a baby cot and his sweet blankie if your little one already has one.
Out and about: a baby carrier or stroller if you prefer.
Meal-time: mum if you’re breastfeeding or 2 bottles, 1 bottle of baby water, formula and 2 or 3 bibs.
Bathing: no need of a bath (so young, baby can bath in a washbowl), bath thermometer, soap, towel, diapers plan for 3 days if you leave 2 days, cotton…
To dress: day clothes, 2 pyjamas, 3 baby bodysuits
For health: thermometer and paracetamol
To play: rattle, pacifier, sweet blankie
The car seat will enable you to leave in it your little one from time to time.
Thus, you’ll need a medium baby bag and a big bag for you and your older one.
PS: If you’re staying in a hotel, a stroller could be welcome to enable your little one to rest while in restaurant.

PPS (added by myself): you can also rent a stroller or a cot, delivered to your place, anywhere in France

FAQ(8): Can I avoid lines?
Baby can be in your arms or in his stroller, it’s quite difficult to make him wait when you are in a huge line. So, what can you do?
In Paris and in France in general, you can easily avoid lines with children under 3 and/or with strollers. In supermarkets, you might have a special line, if not ask the cashier. The cashier will allow you to come before the others clients. Don’t be afraid to act the same at the bank, the post office or at the airport
FAQ(7): How can I visit the Eiffel Tower with toddlers?
One of the most famous monuments in Paris is the Eiffel Tower. How can I enjoy it with kids and toddlers?
Good news, every kind of strollers is allowed unless it’s non-collapsible. We highly recommend using the elevators to go up! Furthermore, the restrooms are spacious and allow you to change baby.
For the older, from 6 to 10, an interactive and fun route is reserved for them, so they can discover the history of the Eiffel Tower.
Children under four years are entitled to free and under 11 you will be charged less.
