It’s not always easy to take metro or bus…but can you take a taxi with baby ? and is its security fullfilled?

What does French law says: it’s mandatory for any  kid in a car to travel in an appropriate seat, adapted to it age and weight…except in taxis, in which there’s no obligation!

How to do then?
If baby is still very young, take your travel system (stroller+car seat), you’ll be able to install baby in its car seat in the taxi.
If baby is a bit older, there is unfortunatly no solution, except take a taxi without car seat, especially if your taxi trip is not planned in advance.

However, if you can plan your trip ahead – for example to drive to the airport-, one solution is to call a “transport company” (société de transport de personnes), such as our  partner, Adjo Services. At booking, specify you need a car seat, together with baby’s age and weight.
