Super Café : a great family-friendly place in Paris 20

family friendly cafe in parisSuper Café opened in 2016 in a new eco Parisian district, not far from Pere Lachaise.

Even the environment is kid-friendly: there is a big garden between a crèche and a nursery school, and the café’s court is a pedestrian zone.
Calm, security and friendliness: these are the words that come to my mind when I went to that ideal place for grown-ups and children.

At Super Café, the possibilities are endless: customers can sunbathing on deckchairs and drink something, or eat a meal in the principal room with its particular decor and the hut in fake wood. For children, snacks are organized and the chefs cook homemade desserts and meals at the sight of all. Projections of cartoons take place at the subsoil, in a room with carpets, chairs and books. Finally, there is a room specially adapted for babies and toddlers in the back of the restaurant: high chairs, mountains of games and stuffed animals, sofas to allow mothers to breast-feed. And since Sarah Trehin, the founder of Super Café, thought about everything: there is a changing table and little toilets for children.

Margherita : a Italian restaurant “kid-friendly” in Saint Germain des Près, Paris 6 (closed)

Bad news at this address. This kid-friendly place is now closed. 🙁

We have just tested the new Italian restaurant Margherita in Saint Germain .

And it’s also beautiful as good, with its industrial decoration and its hams were hung on the ceiling and they have delicious pizzas and pastas. Tiramisus looked so tasty, we can’t to resist to eat both versions!

For the children, they installed in one of their many rooms, a space only for them with bricks of constructions, books and a big blackboard!
Depending on the number of customers, the room of restoration near the playroom is not always open.
The staff are attentive, it is certainly possible to ask to your waiter, if you can have your coffee near the gaming room.
Rooms are big enough and tables spaced out to be able to circulate with a stroller, some room are in the floor so you have the choice between to take staircases or elevator. Come to discover this friendly place where the children are as much welcome as adults and where you will please  your taste buds and your eyes.

Magherita: 17 rue de l’Ancienne Comédie, 75006 Paris
Open every day from 11 am till 2 am

[pretty shop] La Maison DoDu DinDon – Paris 10th

A nice finding 2 steps away from the Canal Saint Martin.
At the beginning, there was Anouchka, a children’s clothes designer.
And then there’s her mum, a children’s toys professional.
Together they funded La Maison DoDu DinDon, a concept-store dedicated to children.

You’ll find there DoDu DinDon children’s clothes (of course), but also a pretty selection of other French and foreign designers (Bbamie Création, Boumaga, Barnabé aime le café, Pöm, Maxomorra) ; but also a lot of toys, some “classical” ones (Vilac, Janod…) and some exclusive ones, found in France or abroad.
In a word, this is a great place to spoil your children ( and/or yourself 😉 )

La Maison DoDu DinDon : 3 rue Alexandre Parodi 75010 Paris
Open Tuesday – Saturday 11am – 7pm
Sunday 11am – 5pm

[store + cafe] Mombini – Paris 15th (closed)

Bad news at this address. This kid-friendly place is now closed. 🙁

The name of this store and café is a promise: mombini it’s moms + bambini (mothers + children) in Italian and in English.

And once there, this promise is 100% kept: at the entrance, a “fresh and colourful store, with cute baby gifts, elegant home decor, smart games and lots of playful accessories for the younger ones.” (it is so true, I just have to copy-paste their description 😉 ).

Going further inside, a café welcomes families with children: homemade cakes, cafe, tea, organic juices, and a play area where children can exercice while parents take a break. And of course, the place is equipped with all the necessary baby gear: highchair, bouncer, changing facilities, kid toilets, ….

mombini also organizes workshops for moms, dads and children. Whether you need to find a gift, want a new decoration set for your child room or just take a break in family-friendly place, enter mombini !
