Pomme Maison de Famille – Paris 19ème

Discovered while delivering a baby cot rue Euryale Dehaynin in Paris 19ème, I found this delicious family-friendly place offering a yogo and pilates studio and a baby-friendly café.

At Pomme, you can train on yoga and pilates, but also enjoy family activities or with baby (see their full planning here) – some of these activities been available on “one off” booking, for those spending few days in Paris only.

Among family activities, you may be pleased to participate to :
Café des parents & récré des bébés (Parents café & baby break) on Thursday PM : the idea is to offer a baby-friendly space for their parents to rest, meet, read or simply enjoy.
What a great idea !
Fumbles & tranfers : a workshop to explore various materials and textures at no risk (all products are home-made with food elements that baby can take to his mouth) and without get your appartment or hotel room dirty.

In the cosy family-friendly café, all is set to welcome families with baby : highchairs and bouncers available, books, toys and baby food.
Toilets are equiped with changing table and child toilet and hand basin.

[Restaurant and Terrace] La Rotonde, Paris 19th

You’re looking for an original, unusual and welcoming place to go? Rendez-vous near to the canal St Martin, at La Rotonde, Paris 19th.

I was seduced by “le jardin” with a view of the canal and where you can drink or lunch from the comfort of the pleasant terrace. I made my way to the Food Truck for a snack : burger/french fries, with a beautiful sunshine and 2 butterflies flying around my flowered table 😉 The staff is very friendly and I could easily find a table! You can come with a stroller without disturbing the other customers and a changing mat is available in the women’s toilets.

Moreover their nice terrace, La Rotonde have an all rounded structure and offer many possibilities to the customers : restaurant (lunch and dinner), wine bar, exhibition galery, co-working and for night-owls : open-air aperitif and a mini-club where regularly inviting severals artists, open till 5.am.

[cafe restaurant] Dynamo Bistro & Co – Paris 19th

I went into this café by chance, to get a quick coffee…From outside, not a specifically family-friendly place… but I started changing my mind when I saw a highchair put aside and found out there was a changing table in the ladie’s room.

So I started discussing with the lady behind the bar and found out :
– coloring page and pencils are brought to children
– a bucket of toys is available for children in the small back room
– children menu with burger or grilled ham with french fries or puree of the day
– as already described highchair and changing facilities are available for babies.

For all menu offers various burgers and French brasserie dishes (rib steak, duck filet, fish, home made dessert, crepes…). And when the tenant who simply explained me: “we have children ourselves, we just wanted to ensure they would feel comfortable here, and welcome families like they should be anywhere”… I can only say “yes!” and recommend it!

[cafe-restaurant] Café Pinson in Le Marais – Paris 3rd (closed)

Bad news at this address. This kid-friendly place is now closed. 🙁
Find here more family-friendly addresses in Paris 3rd.

Café Pinson is a café and restaurant with several distinctive features:

  • it is a 100% baby-friendly (otherwise it would not be presented on this blog 😉 ): high chair and changing station available for baby. And for older children a kid-size wicker seat and a bucket of toys,
  • wide opening times: café Pinson is open 9am – 10pm, Monday-Friday (open on Saturday and Sunday as well with more restrictive opening times) for a café, a fresh juice, a lunch, a snack, a drink, a diner… the place serves food all day long,
  • but it is mostly in the plate that the place shows its most distinctive features: café Pinson serves vegetarian, organic, wheat-free, diairy-free food! Menu is different everyday and can be found (in French) on their website.
  • all dishes available to take away as well.

In few words, a nice place for a stop with baby, in the heart of le Marais.

Staying or visiting the 7th arrondissement with baby?

Space between tables (inside) will allow you to navigate with  baby in its stroller or install him next to you.

Café offers a (bamboo) high chair and a changing table is available in the (ladies) restroom.
